Departmental Visit to NassPay On 23rd November 2022, the Department of Accounting, Banking & Finance, represented by its H.O.D, Assistant Professor Dr. Waqar Ahmed, and Professor Osman Aras, visited NassPay, one of the largest financial and payment solutions companies in Kurdistan.  The visit aimed to improve the relations with corporates and increase student collaboration in market activities. Therefore, the department and the firm aim for future collaboration on academic-corporate issues between the two institutions. The meeting was beneficial, and TIU and NassPay agreed on the benefits for students, which will bridge the gap between theory and the market.

Lunch for Accounting, Banking & Finance Department Students Students of the Accounting, Banking & Finance Department, Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Economics, organised a lunch with Dr. Waqar Ahmad, Head of the Department, and Dr. Hamdi Serin, Head of Social Activities and lecturers in the garden area next to the main building on November 6th, 2022. Students brought delicious homemade food such as biryani and dolma and shared it with everyone at the gathering. The lunch took place during break time between 12:50 PM and 1:30 PM. Social Activity with Erbil Thalassemia Centre In collaboration with Erbil Thalassemia Centre, the Accounting Department, Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Economics at Tishk International University, held a social activity during the Annual International Spring Festival on May 17th, 2022. The Centre was given a spot to sell its handmade products during the festival. On June 8th, the Accounting Department organised a seminar on Thalassemia Disease Awareness, presented by Dr Muhammed A.
