Welcome Breakfast for First-Year Students
The Departments of Banking & Finance and Accounting organized a welcoming breakfast for first-year students as part of their introductory and social integration activities. The event was held in the staff dining hall at 9:00 AM on Tuesday, January 14, 2026, and was attended by all department staff members, students, and the faculty representatives of Dean of Students of Social Activities.
The primary objectives of this gathering were to formally welcome new students, provide an opportunity for mutual introductions between students and faculty, and promote a positive academic and social environment within the departments.
The breakfast was conducted in a warm and cordial atmosphere, allowing students to interact openly with academic staff and gain familiarity with the department’s faculty and activities. Such initiatives aim to enhance students’ sense of belonging, encourage effective communication, and support a smooth transition into university life.
The event was highly successful in achieving its objectives. Dr. Abubakar B. Karaye, Head of Departments, expressed appreciation for the organizers, particularly Ms. Sara Azad, the main coordinator, and Dr. Hamdi Serin, the Head Faculty Representative of the Dean of Students. Dr. Karaye also thanked the faculty staff and students for their attendance. The departments also expressed their appreciation to the students for their engagement in preparation and commitment to make sure that the event when smoothly.
Following the breakfast, the departments conducted an examination rules orientation session for students. The presentation was delivered by the Head of Departments with the assistance of department assistants Ms. Sara Azad and Ms. Thikra Muhammad.
