The Department of Accounting at Tishk International University proudly congratulates Dr. Hussaini Bala, Assistant Professor of Accounting, on the recent publication of two research articles in internationally recognized journals.

His study, “Decarbonizing Sub-Saharan Africa: The Role of ESG Engagement in Reducing Corporate Carbon Emissions,” was published in Carbon Balance and Management (7.0 IF) by Springer Nature, https://link.springer.com/article/10.1186/s13021-026-00510-9

while “Greening of Africa: Analyzing the Effects of Green Taxes, Green Innovations, and Green Energy on Green Logistics” was published in Sustainability by MDPI (4.1 IF). https://www.mdpi.com/2071-1050/18/18/9424

The publications address important contemporary issues including ESG, carbon emissions, green taxation, renewable energy, green innovation, climate action, and sustainable development, highlighting Dr. Bala’s continued contribution to impactful and internationally visible research. Supporting corporate decarbonization. The article identifies SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure) and SDG 13 (Climate Action) among its relevant sustainability themes.
