Enhance your Vocabulary in Accounting, Banking & Finance Workshop
On 21st February 2023, Dr. Ghousia Khatoon, Professor at the Department of Accounting, Banking & Finance at Tishk International University, hosted an event – Enhance Your Vocabulary in Accounting, Banking & Finance.
The event was held in four rounds: in the first round, the students were given jumbled letters and were asked to frame ten words related to Accounting, Banking & Finance in 120 seconds. In the second round, the students were given ten words with missing letters. They had to finish within ten minutes. In the third round, the students were given ten words and asked to write synonyms for the same in ten minutes. In the fourth round, the students were given ten words and were required to write ten antonyms in ten minutes. All the words were related to the field of Accounting, Banking and Finance. Dr. Ghousia Khatoon also focussed on the skills the students should possess to be great leaders, including critical thinking, creativity, communication skills and adaptability.
The students enthusiastically participated in all the rounds. The event was attended by the Head of the Department of Accounting, Banking & Finance – Dr. Waqar Ahmad, Head of the Department of International Relations & Diplomacy, Dr. Mohammed Salih, Dr. Hamdi Serin and other professors. Dr. Waqar Ahmed addressed the students on the usefulness of the event, and Dr. Mohamed Salih discussed the gathering on the importance of using technology for educational purposes. The event was concluded by the distribution of certificates of participation and a vote of thanks by Dr. Hussaini Bala, Assistant Professor at the Department of Accounting.
