International Workshop on International Accounting and Auditing Standards
In collaboration with the Accounting Department, Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Economics, the Banking & Finance Department organized an International Workshop on International Accounting and Auditing Standards, held on March 29th, 2022, at 10 AM, Education Building, Conference Room.
The workshop was attended by Dr. Fatih Cura, Vice President for Administration & Financial Affairs, Mr. Karwan H. Sherwani, Acting Dean, Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Economics, and Dr. Waqar Ahmad, Head, Accounting, Banking and Finance Departments, FASE.
The Speakers, Dr. Samer H. Alssabagh, Chief Financial Officer, Falcon Group, Erbil and Mr. Raed Bakaer, CPA, Senior Manager of Ernst and Young (EY) Global Limited, shared their valuable knowledge with students and staff and promptly answered the questions asked by the audience. They shared their valuable experience in developed corporates and explained how managers can save costs while following IFRSs and international auditing standards.
The International Workshop aimed to raise awareness of the standards of IFRSs and international auditing standards amongst students and staff. It also aimed to explain how the world is becoming a common platform and emphasize the importance of working under the same international standards in support of unity and coherence.
