The Effects of Covid-19’s Crisis on Banking Activities of Islamic Bank In Erbil

The Coronavirus pandemic, which started in 2019 also known as “COVID-19”, is a type of highly harmful virus-related pandemic. In spite of having effective viral prevention in many countries, many were not able to prevent the spread of the virus. Also, the virus is capable of infecting humans of any age. It is important to mention that COVID-19 is a crisis for the world because it has a harmful impact on the world economy. Therefore, the objective of this thesis is to measure the effects of COVID-19’s crisis on banking activities of Islamic bank in Erbil. The study uses primary data to collect the data used in the study. Primary data as quantitative were attained through the collection of responses from the distributed questionnaires that was given to the staff of Islamic banks in Erbil. Moreover, the sample size is 105 respondents, and the study analyzed the primary data by using SPSS version 26. The study investigates the relationship between the independent variable “COVID-19 Crisis” with dependent variable “Banking activities of Islamic Bank” via the Pearson correlation. The study finds a significant negative correlation between COVID-19’s crisis and banking activities of Islamic bank.
