FASE delegation visits Alumni Students

The Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Economics strives to maintain a good relationship with its alumni students. Alumni represent the University in the industry; their achievements also reflect the success of the faculty. Alumni are indeed our most beloved supporters and international ambassadors and are great role models for current students. TIU aims to build strong ties between the University and its graduates by providing a variety of academic and social opportunities to promote interaction and involvement.

Dr. Hamdi Serin, Mathematics Education Lecturer and Faculty Social Activity Coordinator, and Ms. Heba Srud Business and Management Department Research Assistant engaged in a series of visits to the faculty’s graduate students. The first visit was paid to Shahd Abdullilah, a graduate student from the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy (IRD) who is currently working at the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources. Shahd has been working for the Ministry for over five months, and she gave a brief explanation about her current job and her daily tasks as well as the projects that they receive and the procedures they pass through. She indicated that she was happy and satisfied with her work.

The next graduate visited was Soma Farhang, also a graduate of the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy (IRD), she is currently working at the Women Empowerment Organization (WEO), an independent, non-profit organization that aims to promote gender equality and fair opportunity for women to participate meaningfully in all spheres of life. The organization works on various projects and has worked on and implemented a total of fifteen projects under the livelihood sector. Soma has gone through all projects, and is currently working on a project named “Job Placement for the Youth”. Although she is a fresh graduate and has no previous experience, Soma is able to successfully monitor and evaluate part of the project.

As part of the social activities initiated by the Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Economics (FASE) and organized by Dr. Hamdi Serin with the assistance of the research assistants from various departments, the alumni visiting program is continuing to keep the Tishk International University and the Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Economics (FASE) in touch with their valuable graduates. This time we have two new stories of the graduates of the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy (IRD) and hope to bring more updates on other students soon.
