The Academic staff of International Relations and Diplomacy Department, along with 3rd and 4th grade students had on 28th November, 2022, visited the Parliament of Kurdistan Region, Iraq as a scientific trip to enlighten and broaden students’ horizons, especially with regard to the practical side of parliamentary functions and protocols. The IRD team, led by the Head of Department, Dr. Mohammad Salih Mustafa had the honor of meeting with the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, Dr. Hemn Hawrami, and a rich discussion and exchange of ideas took place. Dr. Hawrami asked the students to analyze through mirror analysis, the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine, its geopolitical and global implications for politics, economics and security, and the students responded to the question adequately, with even relevant recommendations.
