The Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Economics, International Relations & Diplomacy Department organized a workshop on “Middle East Conflict“. The workshop was conducted by Dr. Mohammed Salih, Lecturer at the International Relations Department of TIU.

In this presentation, Dr. Mohammed Salih described the importance of the audience with the basis for developing a systematic understanding of the Middle East’s politics, addressing the roots and the causes of the conflicts from different perspectives. The audience will understand the significant issues that lead to ongoing conflicts throughout the middle east. it provides a historical overview of the conflict, examining the political, religious, sectarian, social, and cultural reflections from the struggle for power to the theory and realpolitik by looking at the Kurdish case in Iraq.

Alongside the political history, the lecturer also emphasized the social and cultural aspects of the conflict, highlighting the causes and dynamics. These perspectives include different narratives to have a broader vision.
