IRD Department Participates in 7th International Spring Festival

On April 25th, 2024, the International Relations and Diplomacy Department, Faculty of Administrative Sciences and EconomicsTishk International University (TIU), participated actively in the 7th Annual International Spring Festival of Language, Culture and Science under the theme: “The Spring of Coexistence,” organized by Tishk International University, where cultures of different countries were showcased by various tents, and academic programs were scientifically presented by different tents that were operated by departments. The departments showcased the likely impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on their fields and the global society as a whole.
 
The IRD Department operated two tents, representing the United Kingdom and the department itself. The Head of IRD Department, Dr. Mohammad Salih Mustafa operated the British tent, where he showcased the amiable and accommodating qualities of Great Britain. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Arabaci was in the British tent with Dr. Mohammad Salih, while Asst. Prof. Dr. Basiru Musa, Mr. Bayad Sarwar, and Mrs. Heba Srud managed the tent of the IRD Department, where a colourful display of how Artificial Intelligence could impact the theory and practice of International Relations and Diplomacy, and what countries could do in terms of regulation was made. IRD curriculum and career paths after graduating from the program were also put on display.
 
The British Acting Consul General, Mrs. Catherine Shaw, the Labour Councillor of the London Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, Mr. Bakhtiar Mam Sheikh, and Mr. Salar Amin, Political Officer at the British Consulate, Erbil, graced the festival.
