IRD Department Hosts British and Finnish Academics
On October 2nd, 2023, the International Relations and Diplomacy Department, Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Economics (FASE) at Tishk International University (TIU) hosted two British academics and one Finnish academic. Academics from the United Kingdom included Dr. Bahar Baser, Durham University and Dr. Jessica Northey, Coventry University, while Dr. Elise Feron was from Tampere University, Finland. They also had on their entourage, Ms. Guliz Vural, a photojournalist. The meeting was held at Today Restaurant, Erbil, which enabled the IRD Department team, led by the Head of Department, Dr. Mohammad Salih, and the renowned academics and researchers to discuss ideas and areas of further collaboration. They also compared notes on the scheduled October 4th, 2023, International Workshop on “Youth Politics: Opportunities and Challenges for Mobilization: Turkey and Algeria,” which has Dr. Baser and Dr. Northey as the distinguished speakers, while Dr. Basiru Musa will serve as the moderator.
