On 21st June, 2023, the International Relations and Diplomacy Department delegation, led by the Head of Department, Dr. Mohammad Salih Mustafa and Mr. Dana Sajadi, visited Mr. Falah Mustafa, senior foreign policy advisor to the President of the Kurdistan Region, Iraq. The purpose of the visit was to interact with Mr. Falah and seeks his advice on certain issues.
The delegation and Mr. Falah discussed issues related to the involvement of practitioners and training of students in ways that align with the expectations of industries, state institutions, diplomatic missions, international bodies, and so on.
Similarly, Mr. Falah advised the IRD Department delegation on the need to update the curriculum to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and competencies in diplomacy, negotiation, conflict resolution, global politics, and understanding of diverse cultures, which are necessary for success in the field and their future. The IRD Department delegation thanked Mr. Falah for the warm reception, fruitful discussion, and expert advice on the practice of diplomacy and foreign policy.
