Gender Based-Violence Seminar Presentation
Mr. Bayad Sarwar presented a seminar on Gender-Based Violence on November 9th, 2022, where he explained GBV, its causes, types, effects and solutions. He explained Gender-Based Violence as harmful acts directed at an individual based on their gender. GBV is rooted in gender inequality, abuse of power and harmful norms. It is also the act of inflicting violence on someone because of that person’s gender. He also took the participants through the major types of gender-based violence, such as physical violence, verbal violence, psychological violence, sexual violence, and socio-economic violence.
He gave convincing answers to the questions that were asked by the participants during the Q & A Session.
