The Department of International Relations and Diplomacy at Tishk International University proudly participated in the 8th International Conference on Accounting, Business, Economics and Politics (ICABEP 2026), held on 26–27 May 2026 in Szczecin, Poland.
The conference was co-organized by Tishk International University and University of Szczecin, alongside 13 international academic partners, bringing together scholars, researchers, and practitioners from 15 countries, including Kurdistan Region–Iraq, Poland, Germany, Turkey, Kosovo, Malta, Syria, South Africa, Morocco, Greece, Romania, Lithuania, and others. The event served as a vibrant platform for academic exchange and interdisciplinary dialogue on contemporary issues in economics, business, accounting, and political studies.
Representing the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy, Dr. Dana Sajadi, Head of the Department, presented a research paper entitled “From Liberal Hegemony to Strategic Disorder: Trump’s Foreign Policy and the Reshaping of the International System.”
The paper examined the transformation of United States foreign policy under the Trump administration and its implications for the liberal international order. It explored how the “America First” doctrine challenged traditional principles of multilateralism, alliance politics, and international cooperation, contributing to broader debates on the future of global governance and the evolving structure of the international system.
