Community Service Panel on Promoting Democracy in the Kurdistan Region
The International Relations and Diplomacy Department, Faculty of Administrative Sciences at Tishk International University successfully held its community service Panel in collaboration with STOP Organization for Anti-Corruption on 19th October 2022 under the theme: Promoting Democracy in Kurdistan Region: The Role of Different Sectors of the Society in Confronting Corruption. Three distinguished speakers: Dr. Mohammad Salih Mustafa, Head of the IRD Department, Dr. Arshad Taha, Economic Adviser of the Kurdistan Parliament and Mr. Farman Rashad from the STOP Organization for Anti-corruption, presented papers on the role of education in preventing corruption, the efforts of the Kurdistan Regional Government in addressing corruption and the role of Civil Society Organizations, especially STOP Organization for Anti-corruption in combating corruption in Kurdistan Region respectively.
The event had the attendance of academics, policymakers, the media, students and members of the public.
