The International Relations and Diplomacy Department, today, November 14th, 2022, successfully organized a workshop on the "U.S. Education System and Student Visas," in collaboration with the Public Affairs Section & Consular Section (Visa Section) of the U.S. Consulate General, Erbil, Iraq. Gender Based-Violence Seminar Presentation Mr. Bayad Sarwar presented a seminar on Gender-Based Violence on November 9th, 2022, where he explained GBV, its causes, types, effects and solutions. He explained Gender-Based Violence as harmful acts directed at an individual based on their gender. GBV is rooted in gender inequality, abuse of power and harmful norms. Successful Completion of Qualitative Research Training Course and Presentation of Certificates The International Relations and Diplomacy Department successfully completed 24 hours of Qualitative Research Training Course, aimed at enabling researchers, especially TIU academic staff to learn the basics of qualitative research and the use of NVIVO software in qualitative data analysis. The training started on 1st September, 2022 spread across 6 weeks, with the last week, held on 3rd November, 2022. The 1st week had Asst.
