On December 17, 2024, the staff and students of the International Relations and Diplomacy (IRD) Department at Tishk International University (TIU) proudly participated in the Kurdish Flag Day ceremony. The event was a vibrant display of cultural pride and national unity, bringing together the university community to honor this significant day.
Ceremony Highlights and Celebration
The ceremony began with opening remarks from Assistant Prof. Dr. Idris Hadi, Head of the Board of Trustees of TIU, followed by a speech from Prof. Dr. Sultan Abu Orabi, President of TIU. The main event was the symbolic hoisting of the Kurdistan flag , a moment that resonated deeply with all attendees. The official proceedings were followed by lively musical performances and a photographic exhibition, which captured the essence of the occasion.
The celebration continued with traditional Kurdish music and dancing, creating a joyful and energetic atmosphere as students and staff expressed their happiness and pride in the culture and heritage of the Kurdistan Region.
