On December 22, 2025, the Department of Business and Management at Tishk International University hosted an industry guest speaker session for third-grade students enrolled in the Supply Chain and Logistics course (BUS 377). The session was organized as part of the Department’s ongoing efforts to connect classroom learning with real-world business practices.

The session was delivered by Mr. Omar Abdullah Ismael, Founder of IDEAL Company for Global Logistic Services, who shared valuable insights into logistics and supply chain operations based on his professional experience in the field. During the session, Mr. Omar provided a clear and practical overview of key logistics concepts, including the fundamentals of logistics and supply chain management, transportation processes, documentation, Incoterms, import and export procedures, container types, and cargo distribution systems.

By drawing on real operational examples from IDEAL Company’s activities in import, export, and international transportation, the guest speaker helped students better understand how logistics functions in practice and how these processes support global trade and economic development.

The session was highly engaging and interactive, encouraging students to ask questions and actively participate in discussions. This interaction allowed students to relate theoretical concepts covered in class to real industry scenarios, enhancing their understanding of current practices and challenges within the logistics sector.

This guest speaker session reflects the Department’s commitment to providing students with meaningful learning experiences that combine academic knowledge with industry perspectives, supporting their professional growth and career readiness.

The Department of Business and Management extends its sincere appreciation to Mr. Omar Abdullah Ismael and IDEAL Company for their valuable contribution. Special thanks are also extended to the Head of Department, Mr. Fayeq Ali, and Research Assistant, Mr. Nyaz Abdulla, for their efforts in organizing and supporting this successful academic activity.
