On 11 January 2026, the Business and Management Department conducted a First-Year Student Mentorship Program designed to support newly enrolled students as they begin their university journey. The program aimed to equip first-grade students with the skills, discipline, and guidance necessary to adapt confidently to academic life and to build a strong foundation for future success.

The mentorship initiative was delivered through multiple interactive sessions led by Mr. Fayeq Ali, Head of the Business and Management Department, together with Dr. Abdullah Nabeel. Drawing on their academic and professional experience, both mentors shared practical insights to help students understand university expectations and develop effective learning habits.

Throughout the sessions, students received guidance on key areas such as time management, academic discipline, communication skills, and personal responsibility. Emphasis was placed on the importance of goal setting, consistency, and maintaining a positive mindset when facing academic challenges. The open and supportive environment encouraged students to ask questions, share concerns, and actively engage in discussions.

The mentorship program played an important role in helping first-year students feel supported, motivated, and connected to the department, easing their transition into university life and promoting a sense of belonging.
