A Flower Garden Gift

“Great things are not done by impulse, but by series of small things brought together.” Vincent Van Gogh

Aligned with Tishk International University‘s dedication to Green Kurdistan, charitable activities, and community service, the Business and Management Department strives to offer a holistic education to all its students. This commitment compels us to transcend the basic expectations and outcomes of our core curriculum. Consequently, it necessitates that students not only excel academically but also actively participate in their community, contributing to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Proudly, Grade 2 students from the Business and Management Department successfully carried out the ‘A Flower Garden Gift Project’ at Havalan Preparatory School on January 17th, 2024. This community development and service activity enriched the personal and academic growth of the students. The project’s core objective was to foster a meaningful connection between the college and the community, aiming for a measurable impact.

Designed to enhance awareness of personal development skills and environmental sustainability, the project also sought to showcase various skills including learning how to be together, team bonding, enhancing collaboration, building communication skills, and fostering creative thinking. The exceptional collaboration among students was a crucial aspect of the project, significantly contributing to their personal development.

The initiative was orchestrated and overseen by Dr. Abdullah Nabeel, a Lecturer in the Business and Management Department, in coordination with Dr. Hamdi Serin, the Head of FASE Social Activities.

We extend our gratitude to everyone involved, particularly the students for their participation in planting and budgeting. We hope this project will make a meaningful difference in the lives of the school’s students and the wider community.
