On 20th May 2026, the Business and Management Department, Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Economics, hosted Mr. Rauzan Kareem as an industry expert in the field of Business Development for the 4th-grade students of the Strategic Management Course. Mr. Rauzan was invited and welcomed by the lecturer of the course, Mr. Karwan H. Sherwani.
During the session, Mr. Rauzan shared his professional journey after university and explained how different roles helped him grow in his career. He spoke about his experience as a Supervisor, Admissions Manager, Business Development Coordinator, and Business Development Manager, highlighting how each position contributed to his personal and professional development.
Mr. Rauzan also gave valuable industry-related advice to the students. He emphasized the importance of communication skills, adaptability, patience in career growth, and maintaining professionalism in the workplace. He also encouraged students to build their own career path, learn from every experience, and understand that success is not always a straight journey.
In addition, he shared important leadership lessons, such as giving constructive criticism, leading by example, and giving credit to others when it is deserved.
