On December 22, 2025, the Department of Business and Management organized a guest speaker session for third-grade students enrolled in the Supply Chain and Logistics course (BUS 377). This initiative was part of the Department’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the connection between academic learning and real-world practice.
The session welcomed Ideal Company for Logistics, represented by its owner, Mr. Omer, who delivered an insightful and practice-oriented lecture on logistics management and supply chain operations. Drawing on his professional experience as a logistics entrepreneur in Erbil, Mr. Omer shared real-world case examples, operational insights, and industry perspectives that enriched students’ understanding beyond theoretical coursework.
The guest lecture was highly interactive, providing students with the opportunity to ask questions and engage in meaningful discussions related to current challenges and practices in the logistics sector—many of which are not typically addressed in textbooks. Students expressed strong interest throughout the session and provided very positive feedback on the relevance and practical value of the lecture.
This initiative reflects the Department’s commitment to bridging classroom instruction with industry experience, thereby enhancing students’ practical knowledge and preparing them for professional environments.
The Department of Business and Management extends its sincere appreciation to Mr. Omer and his professional team for their valuable contribution. Special thanks are also extended to the Head of Department, Mr. Fayeq Ali, and Research Assistant, Mr. Nyaz Abdulla, for their efforts in organizing and supporting this successful academic activity.
