On May 31 and June 1, 2025, the Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Economics (FASE) at Tishk International University organized the 9th Annual Clean & Love Kurdistan Campaign, continuing its commitment to promoting environmental awareness and civic responsibility.
A Community-Wide Effort
This year’s campaign was made possible through the valued support and collaboration of our generous sponsors: Alen Factory Company, BZ Group, and the Ministry of Municipality.
The event brought together over 100 students, faculty members, and community volunteers who joined hands to create a cleaner and greener Kurdistan. Participants actively engaged in a community cleanup near Erbil’s Martyrs’ Monument, removing dozens of bags of waste and significantly improving the area’s appearance.
Planting for a Sustainable Future
In addition to the cleanup, the campaign featured a tree planting activity aimed at increasing green spaces and contributing to the long-term health of the environment. More than 100 young trees, sponsored by Alen Factory Company, were planted at Laya School in Kawergosk. This effort fostered a stronger connection with nature and raised awareness of the importance of environmental stewardship.
Inspiring Lasting Change
The campaign served as a platform to inspire lasting behavioral change. By witnessing the impact of littering and actively participating in its cleanup, students developed a deeper sense of environmental responsibility. At the conclusion of the campaign, an appreciation ceremony was held, and certificates of participation were distributed to all who contributed.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to our sponsors and all participants for making this year’s campaign a resounding success. Together, we are building a brighter, cleaner, and more sustainable Kurdistan.
