On 27 January 2026, Tishk International University held a national workshop entitled “Research Insights: From Idea to Research Publication” at 10:00 a.m. in Venue No. 400, New Dentistry Building.
The workshop was organized by the Business and Management Department, Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Economics (FASE), in collaboration with the Research Center at Tishk International University. The event was designed to enhance research awareness and publication practices among newly promoted academic staff, supporting their academic and professional development.
The workshop featured three focused thematic sessions, delivered by four distinguished keynote speakers, each addressing essential stages of the research and publication process.
The first session, “Components of Manuscript Writing & Research Types,” was jointly presented by Dr. Venera Ulker and Dr. Sami H. Barzani from the ELT Department, Faculty of Education, TIU, highlighting key elements of academic writing and research methodology.
The second session, “Types of Publications, Journals & Indexing Bodies,” was delivered by Prof. Dr. Azeez A. Barzinjy from Soran University, providing valuable insights into academic publishing channels and recognized indexing platforms.
The final session, “Incentives, Rules & Regulations: Best Practices at Target Audience,” was presented by Dr. Fatih Cura, Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs at Tishk International University, focusing on institutional research policies and best practices related to academic performance and promotion.
The workshop provided a professional academic platform for discussion and knowledge exchange, reflecting Tishk International University’s continued commitment to strengthening research culture and promoting scholarly excellence.
