The Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Economics, Business and Management Department organized a workshop on “Re-Defining Work Places-The New Normal“. The workshop was conducted by Dr. Sultana Begum, Lecturer at the Department of Business and Management.
In this presentation, Dr. Sultana Begum discussed the effects of Covid-19 on the organizations’ fields and the work environment. The professional world and the work environment is changing rapidly. The powerful force towards change is highly attributed to the 2020 pandemic. Covid-19 has made a significant impact on almost all; organizations, professional domains, and workplaces are not an exception. The disruption caused should be used as a mean to design workplaces that can genuinely serve the need of the hour. There is a need to map out new health work models, reskilling the existing workforce, and there is a greater necessity to redefine the workplace.
This seminar was an effort to raise awareness among the participants about the effect of covid-19 on workplace culture and to deliberate on the concept of redefining the workplaces and explore the new normal leading to the next.
