The Role Of International Organizations In Achieving Peace In The World: The United Nations

This research is an attempt to study the international organization’s role in peacekeeping. The United Nations has been studied as a case for this purpose. The hypothesis was initially that international organizations are not effective in keeping peace in the world and that the interests of member states usually affect the decisions and actions the organization takes. The methods that were used to collect data were through trusted sources and books relevant to the topic, as well as through structured interviews with experts and intellectuals that analyzed different cases and situations to give a more thorough understanding of the topic. The major conclusions that were reached are confirming the hypothesis, reaching the research objective, and answering the research question, which were all essential parts of the research and help the reader gain a fresh perspective and more knowledge on the topic.
