On May 14, 2025, the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy at Tishk International University successfully hosted a national workshop titled “Beyond Distortion and Erasure: Understanding the History and Origins of the Kurds.” The event brought together academics, students, scholars, policymakers, and media practitioners for a critical examination of Kurdish history, its misrepresentation, and its significance in contemporary discourse.
