The Department of International Relations and Diplomacy is honored to host Mr. Jeremy Barker, The RFI Senior Program Officer and Director, Middle East Action Team. The Department discussed areas of collaboration with him, with a view to ensuring religious freedom, tolerance, stability and development in the region and the world.
The IRD Department is pleased to announce that, it has emerged one of the top departments at Tishk International University from the student feedback survey with 4.2 score for the 2021-2022 academic year. The Department would like to express its sincere gratitude to the University management for providing it with the enabling environment to function as an academic unit. The Department is also grateful to the staff for their commitment and students for their fair assessment.
The first week's sessions (1,2,3) of the qualitative research training course, being organized by the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy, Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Economics, Tishk International University, were held and delivered successfully by the course instructor, Asst. Prof. Dr. Basiru Musa on 1st September, 2022. The week covered Research: Meaning and Raison d'être, Research Paradigms: Positivism, Post-Positivism, Social Constructivism/Interpretivism, Pragmatism and Critical Theory. It also covered Typology of Research and Differences between Qualitative and Quantitative Research.
The IRD Department congratulates Dr. Payman Ramazan on her appointment as the President of University of Raparin. The Department is proud of her and wishes her God’s guidance, as she administers the affairs of the University. Raising Awareness on Thalassemia Disease Community-University Partnership Project The International Relations and Diplomacy Department, Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Economics at Tishk International University, organised Community- University Partnership Project titled Raising Awareness on Thalassemia Disease on June 5th, 2022. The Thalassemia Centre provided the speaker for the seminar, a specialist doctor on Thalassemia. They also invited thalassemia patients to participate in the seminar. The Department of Diplomacy and International Relations provided the venue for the project, and many faculty students participated in the seminar. Fifth Batch of Graduates, 2021-2022 Academic Year The Department of International Relations & Diplomacy, Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Economics at Tishk International University, is delighted to celebrate the graduation of the fifth batch of students at the department. Our graduates have been equipped with the necessary knowledge and creative, leadership, diplomatic, negotiation and mediation skills, which are relevant to developing their future and realising their full human potential. Scientific Trip to Parliament of the Kurdistan Region, Iraq The Department of International Relations & Diplomacy, Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Economics at Tishk International University, organised a trip to the Parliament of Kurdistan Region, Iraq, on June 14th, 2022. The scientific trip aimed to enrich first-stage students with applied parliamentary functions and protocols.
