The importance of this study comes from the reality of the US-Iranian conflict in the Middle East, as this conflict included all kinds of hostile political and economic practices between the two countries, except for the option of full military war. The study focuses on the economic aspect of this conflict, which is considered the most complex and complex aspect, as America used this paper or this type of pressure to overlap the damage in Iran from all sides, such as the military, internal security and even the issue of its nuclear file, in addition to slowing the wheel of its expansion in the Middle East. 

It is known that these goals do not concern the United States alone, but it serves the interests of its allies in the region, such as the Gulf States. This research also focuses on the period of the Administration of President Donald Trump, as it is considered one of the distinguished periods of rule regarding this file. It is not hidden from one of the unprecedented escalations that have taken place President Trump, as it had the greatest influence on Iran and the largest political resonance in the history of the conflict between the two countries. The focus will be on the sanctions imposed by the Trump administration on the Iranian regime, with a mention of the background of these sanctions and the purpose behind them, in addition to the reason for their approval in this particular time period. And nationalities, based on statements by officials of the two countries, events that occurred on the ground, economic statistics and the current economic situation of Iran. The researcher collected this information to clarify the nature of the economic relationship between the United States and Iran, or in other words, the economic impact of the United States on the Iranian economy. 

In Findings, the researcher explains that the Trump Administration was distinguished from other Administrations because of the severity of American attitudes and decisions toward Iran under that Administration, as he fought Iran’s expansion in the region with unprecedented economic sanctions and military strikes that caused a great loss in the first row of the Iranian military leadership. 

 

After analyzing the information that was mentioned in this paper, it was found that these economic sanctions succeeded in freezing the Shiite Crescent project that Iran is seeking, in addition to many gains, including removing pressure from America’s allies such as: the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, Israel and others, and finally the writer concludes that The relationship between the two countries has not and will not go through a phase of calm after the recent escalation, but the real reason behind this hostility is files such as the Iranian nuclear file and the file of Iran’s alliance with the eastern political camp represented by Russia and China, which is considered hostile and competitive with the United States.As for the recommendations that can get Iran out of this crisis, this paper touched on a number of solutions that – in the opinion of the researcher – can end Iran’s economic suffering and get out of this impasse, such as finding a formula for a solution to Iran’s nuclear file that may satisfy all parties or giving international guarantees and gaining the trust of society The international community that this file will not pose a threat to the interests of the Western camp in the region, and one of the most prominent solutions that can gain this confidence is to stop putting pressure on the countries of the region through groups and parties affiliated with Iran in different countries.
