National Workshop: Next Generation of Accounting
The Department of Accounting at the Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Economics organized a national workshop titled ‘Next Generation of Accounting’, held on 16th December 2021. Dr. Fatih Cura, Vice President, Finance, Tiu, Mr. Karwan Sherwani, Dean, FASE, TIU, Dr. Waqar Ahmad, Head of the Accounting Department also participated in the workshop.
Dr. Fatih Cura explained the value of accounts in the future and how they can be useful for accounting and finance students. He also mentioned the professional career advancements in accounting through various certification courses, and how students should pursue extracurricular or professional activities to gain a better chance of employment.
The workshop was delivered by Mr. Rast Gozeh, Partner at Kassira Wealth Management (USA) in two sessions. The major highlights of the workshop are “Growth of Accounting Industry in the US, compensation package to Accountants & Auditors in the US, and SAP”. He further discussed how technology can be more beneficial in finance and accounting-related areas. Therefore, students must learn the tools and techniques to update themselves and grab career opportunities to achieve better future prospects.
