Visit to Erbil Polytechnic University (EPU)

On September 22nd, 2024, a delegation from Tishk International University (TIU) visited Erbil Polytechnic University (EPU) to discuss academic collaboration and extend an invitation to EPU staff for participation in the upcoming International Conference on Accounting, Business, Economics, and Politics (ICABEP). The TIU delegation included Mr. Karwan Sherwani, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Economics, Mr. Fayeq Ali Ali, Head of the Department of Business and Management, and Mr. Omar Farouk Al Mashhour, Lecturer in Business and Management and ICABEP organizing committee member.

The primary goal of the visit was to invite EPU’s academic staff to contribute to the ICABEP conference, a prestigious event aimed to produce impactful research in Accounting, Business, Economics, and Politics. The TIU delegation was warmly welcomed by Assistant Professor Dr. Mohsin Sharif Salih, Dean of the Administrative College, Dr. Shirzad Mohammed Mahdi Sourchi, Head of International Marketing and Languages at the Technical College of Administration, and Mr. Zanyar Jabar Rashid, Lecturer in Business Administration Techniques.

During the visit, EPU staff guided the TIU delegation through a tour of their facilities, showcasing state-of-the-art classrooms and other new research facilities that support academic growth and innovation. This provided valuable insight into EPU’s commitment to excellence in education and research. Beyond the conference invitation, discussions explored future collaboration, including joint academic projects, exchange programs, and resource-sharing to benefit both institutions. EPU representatives also proposed several workshops to enhance the academic environment and facilitate knowledge exchange.
