TIU and First Iraqi Bank Sign MoU With FASE Initiative
Tishk International University’s Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Economics has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with First Iraqi Bank, one of the leading banks in digital banking in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, established in 2020. The MOU signing ceremony was held at the university campus. The MOU aims to establish a collaboration between Tishk International University and First Iraqi Bank in areas of mutual interest, such as education, student and staff training, internship, and career development.
The signing ceremony was attended by senior officials from both institutions, including Dr. Abdul Samad (the President of TIU), Prof. Dr. Osman N. Aras (Dean of FASE), Mr. Karwan H. Saeed (Vice Dean of FASE), Dr. Waqar Ahmad (Head of Department – Accounting and Finance & Banking), Mr. Fayeq Ali (Head of Department – Business & Management and Entrepreneurship & Marketing), Mr. Mariwan Ziad (CEO of FIB) and Mr. Idris Saleh (Commercial Manager of FIB).
During the event, Dr. Abdulsamad, expressed his contentment with the partnership, stating that it is a significant step for the university to collaborate with a leading bank in digital banking. He emphasized the importance of such collaborations in advancing education, and professional development opportunities for students, faculty, and staff.
Mr. Mariwan also expressed his excitement about the partnership, stating that it is an excellent opportunity to work with Tishk International University, known for its academic excellence and international recognition. He further highlighted the importance of such partnerships in building a strong and vibrant ecosystem that can contribute to the development of the banking sector in the region. The ceremony ended with the signing of the MOU by the President of the University and the Chief Executive Officer of FIB.
