On Thursday, September 3, the Department of Business and Management, Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Economics held a thank you ceremony for Dr. Karwan Sherwani, who is departing Tishk International University after 17 years of service to the faculty and to the university as a whole.
Dr. Karwan served as Head of the Department of Business and Management, and later as Vice Dean of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Economics. In both roles he was a steady presence shaping the department’s academic direction, supporting colleagues through periods of growth and change, and mentoring students who passed through our programs. His contribution extended well beyond the faculty; across the university he was known as someone colleagues turned to and relied on.
The gathering brought together the faculty’s academic and administrative staff for a simple, warm occasion. Dean of the Faculty Dr. Fatih Cura presented Dr. Karwan with a certificate of appreciation in recognition of his service, and colleagues marked the day together over cake and refreshments they had prepared for the occasion.
The Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Economics thanks Dr. Karwan Sherwani for everything he gave to this institution and wishes him every success in the next chapter of his career.
