On June 25, 2025, as part of the broader character-building and interpersonal dynamics project organized by FASE, a group of dedicated university students carried out a heartfelt initiative titled “Separating Smile: Rawarin Hospital.” This project, one of many under the FASE Poster Presentation series, aimed to uplift and bring emotional relief to the patients of Rawarin Hospital through simple yet meaningful acts of kindness.
On the day of the visit, students arrived at Rawarin Hospital equipped not only with carefully chosen gifts but also with warm hearts and open hands. Their goal was to share human connection, kindness, and joy with patients, many of whom are going through physically and emotionally difficult times. By engaging directly with patients, speaking to them, listening to their stories, and offering words of encouragement, the students reminded everyone of the healing power of compassion.
The project is a shining example of how non-material support—such as genuine conversation and shared smiles—can be just as powerful as medical treatment in promoting well-being. The students’ efforts created an atmosphere of warmth and optimism within the hospital’s walls, reinforcing the idea that emotional support is a vital part of healthcare.
This initiative also contributed to the students’ personal growth. By stepping outside their academic comfort zones and directly interacting with people in need, they learned critical life skills such as empathy, communication, responsibility, and emotional intelligence. It was an exercise in human connection—an essential element in both personal development and future professional success.
The “Separating Smile” project was just one of many impactful presentations within the FASE campaign that included themes such as environmental care, community support, and humanitarian action. These student-led activities collectively underscore the department’s commitment to nurturing socially responsible, emotionally aware, and community-engaged graduates.
In a world often marked by indifference, initiatives like this serve as a reminder that a single act of kindness can spark hope, and a shared smile can begin a journey toward healing.
