In today’s academic landscape, the ability to effectively publish research is crucial for success. Recognizing this need, the Business and Management Department recently hosted a highly successful training program, ‘Mastering the Art of Research Publication: From Manuscript to Global Impact.’ The program was led by Dr. Md. Mahmudul Alam, an Associate Professor at Universiti Utara Malaysia. Dr. Alam is a renowned researcher, ranked among the top 3% worldwide and number one in accounting and finance in Malaysia according to the AD Scientific Index 2025. He has an impressive record with around 52 h-indexes and over 10,000 citations on Google Scholar.
Held from October 10th to 14th, 2024, the intensive training program delved into various aspects of research, including effective research planning, journal article writing, and enhancing research visibility. The program attracted a diverse group of participants, including postgraduate students and academicians, from various faculties and universities. Participants came from institutions such as Lebanese French University, Salahaddin University, and the University of Kurdistan Hewlêr. This diverse attendance created a vibrant and collaborative learning environment.
The program offered a well-rounded experience through a combination of theoretical and practical sessions, as well as interactive Q&A discussions, which allowed participants to improve their research and publication strategies. The positive feedback from attendees emphasized the value of the training, with many appreciating the hands-on approach and expert insights. The event not only enhanced research skills but also fostered academic collaboration among participants. Dr. Md. Mahmudul Alam was committed to supporting all participants in their future research and providing insightful recommendations. This training demonstrates Tishk International University’s aim to continuously support the academic community in enriching their research capabilities.
This training will be followed by various future workshops that will address practical issues such as data analysis methods and the use of advanced research tools. As the Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Economics (FASE) always tries to provide the best quality academic activities, feedback from our respected participants is always appreciated.
