MoU Signing Between TIU and Public Aid Organization

The Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Economics at Tishk International University (TIU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Public Aid Organization (PAO). The signing ceremony took place on the university campus, marking the start of a collaborative partnership between TIU and PAO.

The meeting was attended by representatives from both Tishk International University and Public Aid Organization. From TIU, notable attendees included the President of TIU University Prof. Dr. Sultan T. Abu-Orabi, Dr. Mehmet Ozdemir – Vice President, Mr. Karwan H. Saeed the Vice Dean of FASE, Dr. Mohammed Salih Head of Department, Mr. Omer Farouk Lecturer and Coordinator, Dr. Abdullah Nabeel Lecturer. Mr. Hogir Chato Shexa Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Mr. Mariwan Erbil Office Manager, Mr. Alwand Talaat Jawhar Program Manager, Mr. Hassan Mohi MEAL Manager, Mr. Resa Fahd Board of Trustees secretary, Ibrahim Sabaan Al Eid Erbil office program officer.

Founded in 1992 by dedicated volunteers, PAO works to improve the living conditions of Iraqis by promoting human rights and building a developed civil society. Guided by the United Nations’ Third Millennium Declaration, PAO runs long-term programs and projects aimed at community development. With offices across Iraq, PAO is also involved in elections, and climate change policies, and has MoUs with five universities. The organization boasts 500 members and has conducted key case studies on peace, social cohesion in Mosul, youth groups, and community volunteering efforts.

Moreover, as part of the MoU, PAO will participate in ICABEP 2024, the 6th version and their chairman will give a speech on their contribution to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the Kurdistan region and Iraq. Both parties have shown their dedication and interest in collaborating on future joint projects.
