The Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Economics organized an appreciation gathering to honor students who actively participated in the faculty’s academic, social, and community service activities during the 2025–2026 academic year. The event was held in recognition of the students’ dedication, commitment, and valuable contributions to various initiatives organized by the faculty throughout the year.

During the ceremony, certificates of appreciation were awarded to students who participated in the Food Fundraising Campaign, the Clean and Love Kurdistan initiative, FASE Charity activities, and numerous community service projects organized by the faculty. The event also recognized faculty and departmental student representatives for their efforts in supporting academic and extracurricular activities.

The gathering commenced with a welcoming speech delivered by Dr. Hamdi Serin, Head of Social Activities of the Faculty, who expressed his gratitude to the students for their active involvement and continuous participation in the majority of the faculty’s events and initiatives. He highlighted the important role students play in strengthening the faculty community and promoting a culture of volunteerism and social responsibility.

Following his remarks, the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Fatih Cura, addressed the attendees and extended his sincere appreciation to both students and staff members for their hard work, dedication, and collaborative spirit throughout the academic year. He emphasized the significance of teamwork and community engagement in achieving the faculty’s goals and fostering a positive educational environment. Dr. Cura further noted that student participation in extracurricular and community activities is an essential part of the educational experience. He highlighted that such activities help students develop leadership, teamwork, communication, and social responsibility skills that complement their academic achievements. He also expressed his appreciation for the students’ enthusiasm and commitment throughout the academic year and encouraged them to continue making positive contributions to both the university and society.

The ceremony continued with speeches from Dr. Abubakar Karaye, Head of the Accounting, Banking and Finance Department, and the Head of the International Relations and Diplomacy Department Dr. Dana Sajadi. Both speakers commended the students for their enthusiasm, commitment, and contributions to the success of the faculty’s activities. They also participated in presenting certificates of appreciation to the students in recognition of their efforts.

The event concluded with the taking of commemorative photographs and a cake-cutting ceremony, providing an opportunity for students, faculty members, and staff to celebrate their achievements together and reflect on a successful and productive academic year. The gathering served as a testament to the faculty’s commitment to encouraging student engagement, volunteerism, and community service as essential components of university life.
