The Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Economics at Tishk International University successfully organized a special event to celebrate the conclusion of the 2025–2026 Academic Year, bringing together faculty members and academic staff in recognition of their dedication, achievements, and contributions throughout the year.
The event commenced with a ceremony honoring Mr. Fayaq Ali for his dedicated service as the Head of the Business and Management Department. The Faculty expressed its sincere appreciation for his leadership and commitment during his tenure and wished him continued success as he continues his academic career as a lecturer within the department.
Following the appreciation ceremony, the Faculty officially announced and welcomed Dr. Waqar Ahmad as the new Head of the Business and Management Department and Mr. Kadhim Saeed as the Department Coordinator. Faculty members extended their best wishes to the new leadership team and expressed confidence in their ability to further strengthen the department’s academic excellence.
As part of the celebration, certificates of appreciation were presented to the members of the Examination Committee in recognition of their outstanding commitment, professionalism, and continuous efforts in ensuring the successful organization and administration of examinations throughout the 2025–2026 Academic Year.
The event also included a heartfelt farewell ceremony for Dr. Md. Asadul Hoque, who is concluding his service at the Faculty and the Business and Management Department. Colleagues expressed their gratitude for his valuable academic contributions and wished him continued success in his future professional endeavors.
In the second phase of the event, the Dean of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Economics, Dr. Fatih Cura, delivered a comprehensive presentation on the University’s Strategic Plan and the Faculty’s strategic direction for the coming years. During his presentation, he highlighted the Faculty’s mission and vision, emphasizing their role in guiding academic excellence, research, innovation, and community engagement.
Dr. Cura further explained that strategic planning is a dynamic process that evolves in response to changes in the educational environment, technological developments, and emerging societal needs. He emphasized that continuous improvement requires flexibility, innovation, and collaboration, noting that the Faculty remains open to new ideas, initiatives, and suggestions from all academic staff.
Concluding the presentation, Dr. Cura introduced several strategic initiatives and development plans that will be implemented during the upcoming academic year. These initiatives aim to enhance academic quality, strengthen research activities, improve educational practices, and support the Faculty’s commitment to continuous improvement and institutional excellence.
