Training on “Graduation Research Project”
Dr. Ghousia Khatoon, Head of the Department of Accounting, Banking and Finance participated as a trainer in the training program on the topic “Graduation Research Project” organized by the Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Economics. The program was organized between 2nd May to 23rd May. She delivered her training program on the topic “Efficient Meetings”. She threw light on the significance of efficient meetings. She highlighted that Effective supervision is crucial for guiding students through their final academic endeavours especially “Graduation Research Project”. She covered in her training the tips and tricks to ensure efficient meetings. Some of the tips include consistency in holding meetings, availability of the supervisor at the scheduled time, being flexible as students are juggling between regular classes and thesis meetings, establishing SMART GOALS, structuring the meetings, communication, note taking, time management and allowing students to record the meetings. She concluded her training with a note on appreciation of participants for taking time to attend her training session.
Dr. Hussaini Bala, Assistant Professor of the Department of Accounting, Banking and Finance also participated as a trainer in this training program and delivered training on the topic titled “Research Idea Generation” wherein he discussed various research idea generation techniques. He also threw light on writing clear research objectives based on SMART Goals which includes the goals which are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and timely.
