Accounting and Banking and Finance Department Participates in TIU Introduction Days 2026
The Accounting and Banking and Finance Department of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Economics actively participated in TIU Introduction Days 2026, held on September 1 and 2, 2026, at the Ramada Hotel on Gulan Street, Erbil. The event welcomed prospective students and their families and provided an excellent opportunity to learn more about the academic programs and career opportunities offered by Tishk International University.
The event officially opened on Tuesday morning, September 1, with a ceremony attended by Dr. Ibrahim Rashid, Representative of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research; Assist. Prof. Dr. Idris Hadi Salih, Head of the Board of Trustees of Tishk International University; and Prof. Dr. Sultan T. Abu-Orabi, President of Tishk International University.
Throughout the two-day event, from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, faculty members, department representatives, and student ambassadors from the Accounting and Banking and Finance Department welcomed Grade 12 students and their parents. They introduced visitors to the department’s academic programs, study structure, learning environment, and professional opportunities.
Students and their families had the opportunity to learn more about important areas of study, including accounting, auditing, taxation, financial reporting, banking, investment, financial management, and financial markets. Department representatives also provided academic counseling and answered questions about university life, study requirements, and the career pathways available to graduates.
The event allowed prospective students to discuss their interests and future goals directly with department representatives and receive guidance in choosing a field of study that matches their academic interests and career aspirations. Visitors also benefited from gifts, discount vouchers, and on-site admissions support.
