Academic Jumble Letters Competition in Accounting and Finance

The Accounting and Banking and Finance Department successfully held an academic competition entitled “Jumble Letters in Accounting and Finance” on 11 December 2025. The activity aimed to enhance students’ engagement with accounting and Finance terminologies while promoting analytical thinking and teamwork in an interactive academic environment.

The competition was prepared and organized under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ghousia Khatoon, with the active assistance of two of her students, student representative of the department Mr. Ibrahim Dhaif and Mr. Dyako Mustafa. Their efforts significantly contributed to the smooth organization of the event.

The competition was evaluated by Dr. Hussaini Bala, who served as the official judge. Participants demonstrated strong knowledge and quick problem-solving skills throughout the activity. At the conclusion of the competition. Both the Departments staff and students attended the competition. Three outstanding participants were selected as winners based on their performance.

Mr. Akam Mohammed, a grade 4 accounting student emerged as the 1st place winner of the competition. The second position was awarded to Sama Ali, a grade 2 Accounting student and the third position to Omar Bayar, who is also a grade 4 accounting student. All three winners were honored with certificates and gifts in recognition of their achievements.

The department extends its appreciation to the organizer, assistants, judge, and participants for their valuable contributions. Such activities reflect the departments’ commitment to fostering an engaging academic atmosphere and encouraging student participation in co-curricular academic events.
