On December 19th ,2015 Ms Shlair Abdulkhaleq presented a seminar on “ Reclaiming Evolution (2000) by Dugger and Sherman who argue that enabling myths are created by powerful classes of the society as a social control mechanism to legitimize some unfair market practices and to justify political agenda that preserves the economic benefits of the status quo and solidifies its vested interest. Ms Shlair also discussed how such enabling myths can penetrate far deeper than propaganda in a society’s culture until it becomes part of the society’s ideological evolution.
