FUN 101 Fundamental of Nursing (I)
The students will learn during this course the basic principles and fundamental of nursing skills, such as cannulation, vital signs, wound dressing, bed making, etc ……
ELT103 Advanced English
This course is designed to build the oral, reading and writing  English skills of non-native speakers of English of Computer and Information Technology department students, in order to prepare for specific academic work in English.
KURI 105 KurdologyI
General introduction, The Kurds and their country Kurdistan, History, Kurdish society, Language, Folklore and literature.
COS 103 Computer Science
To introduce the student to a variety of terms, definitions, and concepts that apply to the design and use of computers, and to give “hands on” experience with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, using Windows Operating System. And to teach basic internet usage and to print documents. Also lab assignments will be combined for a comprehensive study. Students will be thoroughly tested on their ability to recall facts about computers and the use of applications.
DBT 101 Academic Debate and critical thinking I
This course is designed to develop students’ abilities and skills in academic communication and debate. The topics of this course train the students on using sources for academic communication, putting knowledge into good use, and raising academic questions and answering questions in an academic way. The course also aims to teach students how to accept and respect differing opinions, and how to conduct academic arguments.
INN 105 Introduction to Nursing
The student receives all information on nursing, evolution of nursing, history of nursing in details and most common famous nurse overall the world.
IT 105 Ind to Information of technology I
This course introduces Information Technology. Information technology (IT) is the application of computers and telecommunications equipment to store, retrieve, transmit and manipulate data. The goal of this course is to help students interested in an information technology career decide where their interests lie.
FUNII 102 Fundamental of Nursing II
During the second course of first stage the student will receive the second course on fundamental of nursing, which is for more advanced practice on basic patients need during nursing care, wound dressing, advanced wound care, injection such as intramuscular injection, intravenous , subcutaneous and intradermal injections
ANA 104 Anatomy
The student will receive information and skills through theory and lab practice on human body, and will receive all related medical terms, which is basic science during providing the nursing care.
PHY 106 Physiology
During this course the students will receive the physiological function of the human body, lectures on all physical function of all parts and organs, such as neural function cardiovascular circulation, gastrointestinal and all other parts. Beside information on cells function, this also a basic science for nursing intervention.
BIO108 Biochemistry
Nurses are needs basic information on the main and common biochemical function, and the information about most common biochemical labs and the procedure for each procedure.
ELT 104 Technical English   II
This course is continuation of ELT 104, which is build the oral, reading and writing English skills of non-native speakers of English of Computer and Information Technology department students, in order to prepare for specific academic work in English. It teaches advance level of students the language and skills they need to understand and work in the world of computers.

Second Year

ADUI 201 Adult Nursing I
The students will receive the comprehensive knowledge, practices through labs and clinical in the hospital will learn how providing the nursing management for all adult related diseases, both communicable and chronic conditions. The nursing students will receive all information and practices for chronic condition such as Diabetes, hypertension, cardiac, renal, and all others.
NUT 202 Nutrition
During this the information about the nutrition and it is components. The healthy diet, and the effects of nutrition on achieving nursing goal.
HASS 203 Health Assessment
In this course the students will learn the health assessment of patients and healthy including child and adult individuals. The comprehensive information and skills will provide through practices and theory. The nursing students are able to do physical assessment for both patients, and healthy persons.
MIC 204 Microbiology
The microbiology in a basic science for the health, the students will receive information though theory and labs all information related to bacteriology as a science and the procedure to identify the bacteria.
PHAI 205 Pharmacology for Nurses I
They will receive detailed theory about the medication and they will teach all tread and scientific names of each medication, beside of this they will teach the mechanism of medication on the physiological body and it is side effects.
ADUII 206 Adult Nursing II
A comprehensive information for the surgical cases and the practical for patients associated with surgical cases, the students they will go to the surgical wards, operation theater, and all other related to surgical cases.
HUG207 Human growth and development
The student receives human growth and development in all stages which are prenatal, infant, toddler, preschool, school age, adolescent, young adult, middle adult, and over 65 years old, and all theories related to the subject, they will receive information about psychosexual, psychosocial and cognitive theories, and they practice the knowledge in related setting practices.
PATH 208 Pathophysiology
The students will receive detailed information about the diseases and it is pathology. Detailed information about all diseases and the process of path  of body.
BEL209 Basic emergency life support
The student will receive this subject to learn and practice the main save patient process during emergency cases, they will receive

The students will receive the information

Third Year

Course No Course description
MAT301 Maternal & Neonatal Nursing
During this course the student receiving the detailed information and practice on women condition and diseases, pregnancy, and main diseases associated mothers. They will take this subject in both theory and practice as well.
ADUIII 302 Adult Nursing III
The students will receive more theory and practice in the hospital regarding adult diseases, and it is nursing management.
SOCI 303 Sociology for Nursing
The student will learn the social aspects and how they deal with social aspects during contact with patients, and they will learn how diseases effects on their social aspects.
BIO304 Biostatistics
The student will receive all information about biostatistics and related data analyses, the student will ask to have practice in this field for learning statistics.
PED305 Infant , child and adolescent health
Comprehensive theory and practice on child health, the student will receive theory and practice in the hospital about all related diseases and nursing management for each disease, they will work in emergency, medical wards, surgical ward and neonatal intensive care unit. They practice all nursing management.
ADUIV 306 Adult Nursing IV
During this course the student will receive remain subjects, and practice concerning the adults condition , chronic condition and all related nursing managements.
BRM 307 Basic Research
This is an introductory course that covers the basics of undertaking research and writing a research paper. At each operational step in the research process it is required to choose from a multiplicity of methods, procedures and models of research methodology, which will help to best achieve the target research objectives.
PSY308 Psychology for Nurses
Nurses will communicate and have hard work in the hospital and they communicate others such as physicians, other health care providers and clients as well, they need much more information about the psychology

Fourth Year

Course No Course description
CUM 401 Community Health Nursing During this course the students will study theory and practical subjects focusing on  (family care, home visiting, maternal and child care(MCH), school health services, field visit , home car of disabled individuals,  and health education as recommended by WHO).
 
CRN 402 Critical Care Nursing During this course the students will study theory and practical subjects related to Critical care services for  critically disorders,  as decision making of high complexity to assess, manipulate, and support vital organ system failure or to prevent further life threatening deterioration of the patient’s condition. Examples of vital organ system failure include, central nervous system failure, circulatory failure, shock, , and respiratory failure focusing on First Aid CPR and others.
HPM403 Health promotion During this course the students will recieve theory subjects so this subject has no practice and recently added to 4th stage in the college by WHO focusing on different models for health promotion and disease prevention   as role model of nurses, health beliefs model, change            behaviors, sanitation, personal hygiene, food hygiene, application of three levels of prevention in the community and others.
EPD 404 Epidemiology During this course the students will study theory subjects related to  prevention and curative  of communicable diseases as (AIDS, TB, Hepatitis B and C, meningitis, botulism, Ebola outbreak, swine flu ,measles, cholera, mumps, DVD, food borne disease,Inflonza  and water borne diseases .
PS&M406 Psychiatric & Mental Health Nursing
During final course the student will receive psychiatric and mental health subject, this subject will teaching students during detailed theory and practices in the mental health hospitals all the diseases related to psychiatric and mental health and their nursing care for each diseases,
COU407 Nursing Consolidation
During last year the student will practice all nursing management which they received during their previous semisters,
NLM 408 ·         Nursing Leadership  and Management During this course the students will study theory subjects about

  •  Define ethics and utilize an ethical decision making model to address professional ethical dilemmas.
  • Apply existing operational codes of ethics when encountering professional ethical dilemmas.
  • Apply principles of ethical practice to professional self-care.
  • Application of law and legal issues in health care services.
REP 405 Research Project
A study under the supervision of an advisor: Research on exploring and defining a potential study area suitable for a senior design project. Identification of a specific problem from the selected study area in Nursing. Results from this study are documented and presented in the form of a project proposal.
