Seminar: Protect Yourself From Doing Crime
The Department of Business & Management, Faculty of Administrative Sciences at Tishk International University organised a workshop on the 6th of December, 2022, titled Protect Yourself From Doing Crime. The workshop is a part of a series of workshops called Soft Skill Empowerment that will be held by the department.
The Director of Erbil Community was the presenter of the workshop. He spoke about the types of drugs available in the market and the supply chain. He also drew light on the strict laws in our country on drugs, jail punishment, and penalties for people caught in any drug usage or association. Speaking about the peer pressure one goes through in society, the Director of Erbil Community explained the approaches one uses to influence and encourage others to take drugs, and discussed ways one can avoid such situations.
At the end of the workshop, the audience showed interest in participating in such workshops and encouraged to conduct a second one on the same subject to gain a better and deeper understanding of drugs, their usage and prevention. The Director also shared interest in conducting further workshops and seminars to raise awareness of the danger of drugs and how it is addressed by law enforcement.
