Dean’s Handover Ceremony
The Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Economics (FASE) held a General Faculty Meeting on the 14th of December, 2022, attended by all faculty staff members, Vice Presidents, Dr. Fatih Cura and Dr. Mehmet Özdemir. The meeting had many items on the agenda; the first one was to congratulate the two research assistants who recently received their master’s degrees, Mr. Bayad Sarwar and Mr. Kadhim Saeed.
The next on the agenda was to welcome a new addition to our staff, Prof. Dr. Osman Nuri Aras and Prof. Dr. Ahmet Arabaci, and four research assistants, Mohammed Khdir, Thikra Mohammed, Ahmed Ayub, and Omar Falah, who were all given gift bags by the Vice President, Dr. Mehmet Özdemir. After that, the new Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Osman Nuri Aras, was congratulated on his new position by the former Dean and now Vice Dean, Mr. Karwan Sherwani. Vice President Dr. Cura, former Dean of FASE, and Mr. Sherwani gave a speech to congratulate Prof. Dr. Osman Nuri Aras, the new Dean of the Faculty.
On the next item on the agenda, Mr. Fayeq Ali, Head of the Business and Management Department, Dr. Mohammed Salih Mustafa, Head of the International Relations and Diplomacy Department, and Dr. Waqar Ahmed, Head of the Accounting and Banking and Finance Departments, each delivered a presentation on the status, challenges and opportunities of their department.
Finally, Dr. Hamdi Serin, Representative of the Dean of Students in the FASE, presented the social activities conducted during the previous Academic Year (2021-2022) and the Fall Semester of this Academic Year (2022-2023). He also highlighted the next planned events for the rest of the Academic Year.
