Clean & Love Kurdistan Project

In cooperation with the Ministry of Municipalities and Tourism Presidency of Erbil, the Faculty of Administrative Science and Economics at Tishk International University (TIU) organized the 6th “Clean & Love Kurdistan” Project, held on March 30th, 2022.

The event took place in the presence of Asst. Prof. Dr. Hamdi Serin Representative of Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Economics Tishk International University, Asst. Prof. Dr. Waqar Ahmad, Head of Accounting / Banking and Finance Department, Mr. Zhyar Jalal Director of Service & Environment Municipality, and other respected municipality members. Over 90 students participated in this activity, which was designed to raise awareness and sustainability development in Kurdistan.

The activity started by picking litter in the picnic area located in Monument of Kasnazan, Koya Road, Erbil.

The project conveyed the following messages:

It is not someone else’s responsibility to pick our litter!

It is our responsibility!

Please, Put your Litter in the bin!

2/ RECYCLE

You Will Help Reduce Pollution!

3/ USELESS TISSUES

Or Use Half- Do You Really Need One Whole Piece?

5/ TAKE THE STAIRS

Healthier For You and Kinder to the Planet

Why Use the Lift IF It Is Only A few Steps?

6/ BE CREATIVE AND REUSE

Things like bags and paper can be turned into a present or something useful.

7/ SWITCH OFF THE LIGHTS

Not just for Earth hour but whenever you do not need it.

Clean and Love Kurdistan’s Sub-project:

  1. Seminar by, Mr. Farman Khalil
  2. Raising awareness by distributing Clean and Love Kurdistan’s messages
  3. National Workshop on Natural Sustainability
  4. Awareness and spreading the messages between Erbil and Masif Highway.
  5. Distributing the appreciation certificate to the participants.

The Faculty of Administrative Science and Economics of Tishk International University looks forward to organizing further collaborations and partnerships to build and educate on a standard basis for a better and friendly environment, cleaner picnic areas, and fresher air for all respected citizens of Kurdistan. That is why we call this project Clean and Love Kurdistan: to urge all citizens of Kurdistan to pay attention to the serious issue of nature destruction and ensure to keep it clean. LOVE should be in everybody’s heart!
