On 16 December 2025, the Business and Management Department organized an educational field trip for third-year students as part of the Production and Operations Management<\/em> course. The visit was organized by Dr. Sultana Begum, course lecturer, with the assistance of Mr. Nyaz Abdulla, aiming to strengthen the connection between theoretical knowledge and real-world business operations.<\/p>\n

The field trip was conducted to Zer Group<\/span><\/span>, a well-established company operating in the food manufacturing and export sector. Zer Group specializes in the production of a wide range of food products, including edible oils, sauces, pulses, bouillon products, olives, and other fast-moving consumer goods, serving international markets through modern and highly organized production systems.<\/p>\n

During the visit, students were introduced to the company\u2019s production environment and operational workflow, gaining valuable exposure to manufacturing processes, quality control systems, production planning, and supply chain coordination. Company representatives provided detailed explanations of how efficiency, food safety standards, and continuous improvement are maintained across different stages of production.<\/p>\n

The trip offered students a practical perspective on key concepts discussed in class, including process management, operational efficiency, quality assurance, and large-scale production management. Interactive discussions enabled students to raise questions and gain a deeper understanding of how operational decisions are made in a real-world business setting.<\/p>\n

Dr. Sultana Begum emphasized the importance of such visits in enhancing student learning, noting that exposure to real production environments helps students better grasp complex operational concepts and prepares them for future professional challenges.<\/p>\n<\/div>
