Student Field Trip Visit to Central Bank of Iraq KRG Headquarters<\/h4>\n

On November 28th, 2023, the Department of Finance and Banking<\/a>, Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Economics<\/a> at Tishk International University (TIU)<\/a> organized a highly informative field trip to the Central Bank of Iraq KRG<\/a>. The purpose of the trip was to provide students with a firsthand understanding of the functions, responsibilities, and operations of the central banking system.<\/p>\n

Upon arrival, the students were warmly welcomed by the bank’s representatives, who guided them through various departments. The managers of these departments generously shared their expertise, offering valuable insights into the intricate workings of the Central Bank of Iraq. The students gained in-depth knowledge about the different sections and functions of the bank. They were briefed on the roles and responsibilities of each department, ranging from monetary policy formulation to currency issuance and regulation. These interactions provided a unique opportunity for students to connect theoretical knowledge with practical applications in the real-world financial landscape.<\/p>\n

One highlight of the trip was the visit to the Technology and E-Banking Department. The students were given a comprehensive overview of the latest technologies employed by the Central Bank<\/a> to streamline operations and enhance efficiency. The managers elaborated on the implementation of e-banking systems, emphasizing the role of technology in modern financial institutions.<\/p>\n

The field trip proved to be an invaluable experience, bridging the gap between classroom theory and real-world practices. The students left the Central Bank of Iraq KRG with a deeper appreciation for the complexities and significance of central banking operations.<\/p>\n
