The Quality Assurance Unit in collaboration with the Accounting Department at Tishk International University organized an enlightening national workshop on \u201cAI Applications in Education and Research\u201d on 22nd<\/sup> \u00a0May 2024. The workshop aimed at exploring significance of artificial intelligence in the education sectors and the general research, particularly in elucidating how Artificial Intelligence revolutionizes and equip researchers and academic administrators with the skills and techniques to integrate AI technologies into teaching and research, thereby enhancing the quality and efficiency of research and teaching. The workshop was attended by members of the University across all faculties. The workshop commenced with the welcome and introduction of resource person by Dr. Samira Saeed, Assistance Professor, Quality Assurance.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dr. Nahla Mohammed Saeed,<\/strong> Professor from Kurdistan Institution for Strategic Studies and Scientific Research, Kurdistan Region, Iraq was the first speaker. She threw light on the topic \u201cExploring the use of AI Applications in Academic Research\u201d wherein she introduced the participants with the basic knowledge of AI and how to explore the relevant AI tools for teaching and research.<\/p>\n

After the tea break, the second presenter Dr. Wasan Adnan Hashim<\/strong>, Associate Professor, Qalam University College, Kirkuk, Iraq presented on the topic \u201cEmpowering Education with AI: Exploring the Role of Artificial Intelligence in Learning\u201d wherein she demonstrated hands-on applications of AI in educational settings, highlighting the AI-driven tools that facilitate research, including data mining, predictive analytics, and literature review automation and explorations of research gaps.<\/p>\n

The Third Speaker Dr. Ghousia Khatoon<\/strong>, Professor & Head, Accounting Department, Faculty of Administrative Sciences & Economics, Tishk International University, Kurdistan Region, Iraq delivered her presentation on \u201cApplications of Artificial Intelligence in Accounting and Auditing\u201d. The workshop highlighted the importance of AI in enhancing the field of accounting practice. The participants learned how AI transformed the landscape of accounting profession through efficiency, financial modelling, and fraud detection. The workshop concluded with the closing remarks by Dr. Mehmet Ozdemir<\/strong>, Assistant Prof. and Academic Vice President Tishk International University. He also presented the Mementoes and certificate of appreciation to the resource persons.<\/p>\n<\/div>
